With “Hello Hollow” Julian Hetzel extends his performance “I’m Not Here Says the Void” into the public space. A group of ephemeral human like sculptures hang out on benches and seats. The presence of these dark and anthropomorph creatures generates an interference in the public space – the sculptures are visual obstacles. As in the performance „I’m Not Here Says The Void“ black plastic foil is used to enter a disturbing dialogue on presence through absence and on the seductive power of the surface. What is visible is exactly what is in front of the very eyes of the spectator and in the same time it is everything else…
