This was the tour of Diarrhea is My Favorite Color!

This was the tour of Diarrhea is My Favorite Color!

It’s a wrap!

On Saturday 3 February we kicked off the tour of Diarrhea is My Favorite Color 8+ in the Verkadefabriek. This is also where the tour ended last Easter Sunday. We played in the Netherlands and Belgium, for many school classes and theatres full of lovers of absurdist youth theater and leisure adventurers. We heard laughter, lots of shouts (ewuuuwwww, gawd!) and “Is that real poop?!” Children sat on the edge of their seats waving to be part of the audition, others sank further and made themselves invisible. But “the lady from the theater” had an unrelenting nose for talent…

“Those who love anarchy are lucky”
– de Volkskrant ★★★★

“Diarrhea is my favorite color shows that you decide what is beautiful”
– NRC ★★★★

“Backstage becomes frontstage and the audience participates: we have seen this before in productions by Theater Artemis and Julian Hetzel. But what if our body’s backstage gets the leading role?”
– The Standard ★★★★

“Subversive shit: Studio Julian Hetzel and Theater Artemis create revolutionary youth performance”
– De Morgen ★★★★

Another small but important note:

Diarrhea is my Favorite Color is competing for the Podiumkids Audience Award. The children’s jury visited, judged and wrote about 13 performances that are in the running. But the audience – you – will choose which show continues to the final.
So don’t be a party pooper and VOTE Diarrhea is My Favorite Color at the finals of the Podiumkids Audience Award!
